This chapters deal with race and the different forms of racism. The text book stated that it was not a scientific method that our ancestor use to determine race but it was merely the color of your skin. Another law that was talked about was the one-drop rule meaning a person with any trace of black ancestry even one drop of African blood was consider black. If our ancestor was around today, they would have a field day using that method to determine race. You have so many mixed relationships today. There are so many different mixed facial characteristics it would be hard to tell what race they are mixed with. Even though back then if a mixed person was label black, they were treated just like a black was treated.
